Project Director Role Overview

Siemen Energy is seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead the delivery of offshore grid access connections, comprising Offshore Transformer Modules and Onshore Substations, for Offshore Wind Farm connections in the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement projects within defined requirements, ensuring cost, time, functionality, safety, and quality are met.
  • Ensure business success and customer satisfaction through effective project management.
  • Pursue professional internal and external partner management.
  • Adhere to timely decisions on open issues and advise Senior Management where required.
  • Execute contracts in a professional manner.

Project Planning, Controlling, and Closure

  • Establish and maintain the Siemens Project Management Plan.
  • Supervise project status, identifying discrepancies and initiating targeted actions.
  • Define quality management procedures and requirements.
  • Hold regular project status meetings and coordinate acceptance of key performance indicators.
  • Drive mechanical and electrical completion processes to a satisfactory outcome.
  • Lead acceptance of delivery units and services, performing quality controls.
  • Document work results according to valid standards.
  • Coordinate acceptance tests and final project handover to contract partners.

Leadership and Communication

  • Ensure efficient communication with internal and external partners.
  • Facilitate targeted and full communication within the project team.
  • Agree targets with project staff and delegate defined responsibilities and authority.
  • Facilitate and supervise effective team collaboration.
  • Hold feedback sessions with directly assigned team members.
  • Seek active feedback from team members, managers, and customers.

Business Integrity

  • Enforce Siemens Business Conduct Guidelines, including tax regulations, IR35, delegation of employees, export control, and EHS.
  • Involve corporate governance units, including Compliance, Legal, HR, and Workers Council.
  • Forward relevant information to project team members and partners.
  • Establish a framework for regular compliance checks, conducting Compliance Risk Assessments at milestones.
