We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Cedar Care Homes. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and refreshments, ensuring residents' dietary needs are met.
- Support residents with mobility and transfer needs, using equipment such as hoists and wheelchairs.
- Administer medication, as required, and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in resident care planning, contributing to the development of individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery, responding to resident needs and concerns.
- Previous experience in care work, preferably in a residential setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of dementia care and support, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
