We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiation Oncology Team Manager to join our team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Radiotherapy department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Expertise: Provide expert guidance and leadership to the therapy radiography team, promoting best practice and excellence in patient care.
  • Treatment Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver complex radiotherapy procedures to a wide range of benign and malignant conditions, ensuring high accuracy and precision.
  • Team Management: Work autonomously and collaboratively with the team to achieve departmental goals and objectives, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiation oncology and therapy radiography, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and team performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: BSc in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent formal qualification, with Health & Care Profession Council (HCPC) registration as a therapy radiographer.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years postgraduate experience with specialist training, knowledge, and experience to master's level or equivalent, including leadership experience and expertise in delivering a wide range of radiotherapy techniques.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and people management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
