Dovetail and Slate is seeking an Inmate Learning Facilitator to join our team in a correctional facility. As a respected member of our education department, you will play a vital role in educating and rehabilitating adult learners, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher to share their knowledge and passion for maths with learners who may not have had access to quality education previously. You will be responsible for delivering accredited Functional Skills (E1,2,3 and Level 1-2) classes, creating engaging lesson plans, and providing individual support to learners.

The role involves outreach work, connecting with learners in a professional manner, and supporting them with their learning. You will also be working with hard-to-reach learners, those disengaged with education, to encourage them to return to a classroom setting.

To succeed in this role, you must have a good basic general education, including GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above. Experience in supporting learners re-engaging into education is crucial, along with a teaching qualification. Our competitive salary scale is £45,000 per annum, plus benefits, including 38 days' annual leave, a generous pension scheme, and professional development opportunities.
