About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Radiographer to lead our Pre-Treatment Planning team in Radiotherapy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our service and delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Pre-Treatment Planning team, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  • Coordinate clinical workload in Radiotherapy planning and CT areas, providing expert clinical advice to staff.
  • Manage and deliver planning and patient localisation in the Radiotherapy service, ensuring a high-quality, safe, and efficient patient-centred service.
  • Coordinate and communicate with multi-professional teams, including Consultant and Registrar Clinical Oncologists, medical physicists, and technicians.
  • Act as an expert resource for clinical advice to staff, evaluating best practice and ensuring evidence-based decision-making.
Person Specification

Essential

  • Highly experienced clinical radiographer with a minimum of six years post-qualification experience in CT and/or treatment planning.
  • HCPC Registered radiographer with a first degree in radiotherapy and oncology or equivalent BSc (Hons) or Diploma College of Radiographers.
  • Highly skilled radiographer with experience or working towards qualifications equivalent to Masters level MSc or Higher Diploma of the College of Radiographers.

Desirable

  • Experience in leading on a project/change/research/audit within pre-treatment.
  • Supervisory, management, or leadership training or qualification.
