We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pre-Construction Commercial Manager to join our Head Office Store Construction Department. As a key member of our Commercial Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting tendering and project management responsibilities for our store construction projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external contractors, consultants, and key contacts.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitor the quality of appointed national projects through KPI reporting and site visits.
  • Regional Support: Support regional teams in the execution of projects through regular meetings, reports, and guidance to colleagues.
  • Procedure Updates: Update national procedures, policies, and processes, ensuring they are effectively communicated and implemented correctly.
  • Presentations: Present projects and plans to large audiences.
  • Issue Reporting: Report and resolve any matters that may impact the smooth running of the build to senior management.
  • Travel and Development: Demonstrate a willingness to travel for site visits, development days, and training.
  • Special Projects: Involvement or lead on ad-hoc special projects and tasks.
Requirements:
  • Desirable Qualifications: A graduate in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Desirable Experience: Exposure to contract management, pre-construction phase, or site experience.
  • Key Skills: Sound commercial knowledge, excellent eye for detail, project management skills, and strong Microsoft Office skills.
