About the Job Description

This role involves providing technical and customer support for installed systems and related projects. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting/diagnosing, repairing, and testing a wide variety of airport passenger and baggage security systems.

Your duties will include performing scheduled and unscheduled Corrective Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and radiation surveys. You will also be required to maintain calibration on all test and radiation survey equipment and provide customer training assistance for installed systems and equipment.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to exercise judgment within broadly defined policies and procedures in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. You will need to demonstrate a proactive approach towards safety, health, and quality in compliance with all customer facility and Leidos company guidelines and regulations.

Key Requirements:

  • Solid relevant field service experience, preferably in an integrated systems technologies environment
  • Experience maintaining and supporting large, complex electromechanical systems
  • Self-starter, able to work well without supervision, and accept responsibility
  • Able to travel both domestic and international locations

Highly Desirable:

  • A degree in electronics technology, mechanical or electrical engineering, equivalent military training or certified aircraft maintenance background
  • Prior experience in X-ray or computed tomography technologies, especially in the airport security environment
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Unix
