FIND | Creating Futures: Data Engineering Trainer Leader

Join a rapidly-growing company that specializes in the Hire-Train-Deploy market, with expertise in recruiting, training, and deploying tech consultants into top-tier companies. As a Data Engineering Trainer Leader, you'll lead on our Data Engineering Pathway/Programme, responsible for delivering comprehensive training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions to junior data engineers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Training Delivery: Develop and deliver expert training sessions focused on key data engineering concepts, tools, and technologies, including coding, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, cloud computing, databases, and data warehousing.
  • Hands-On Coaching: Provide hands-on guidance and coaching to junior data engineers, ensuring they understand and can implement real-world solutions, using your own industry experience to help them solve complex data engineering problems.
  • Mentorship: Act as a mentor, offering insights into best practices and industry trends in data engineering, supporting the personal and professional growth of junior engineers, and helping them build confidence and independence.
  • Industry Expertise: Bring your real-life project experience into the training sessions, creating practical, relevant learning opportunities, incorporating case studies, live project scenarios, and practical challenges into the learning process.
  • Collaboration & Programme Development: Work closely with internal trainers, engineers, and leadership to ensure alignment of training objectives with company goals, contributing to curriculum enhancements based on emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data engineering and related fields, continuously refining training materials to keep up with industry advancements and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' industry experience as a data engineer or in a related field (machine learning engineer, AI engineer, data architect, data scientist).
  • Strong Python and SQL experience.
  • Strong AWS, Azure, or GCP experience (doesn't matter which one).
  • Excellent communication and presentation/delivery skills.
  • The ability and confidence to lead training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions, inspiring confidence and growth in learners.

This is a hybrid working role, requiring you to be on-site in Central London 3 days per week. The salary range for this position is £85,000 - £110,000.
