Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking a seasoned Senior Building Safety and Compliance Director to join their team for a 12-month contract in the West Midlands.
About the RoleThis critical position requires a dynamic leader who will ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance within the community.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee building safety and compliance functions for the local authority.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation and regulations associated with building safety and compliance.
- Manage six compliance disciplines: asbestos, fire, water, lifts, gas, and electricity.
- Oversee health and safety requirements related to building safety and compliance.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Building Safety Manager and Compliance Manager.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance building safety standards.
- Monitor and report on compliance performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Local authority experience.
- In-depth knowledge of legislation related to building safety and compliance.
- A strong understanding of all six compliance disciplines (asbestos, fire, water, lifts, gas, and electric).
Prior experience working within a local authority setting and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and compliance are highly desirable attributes.
What We OfferThis role offers an attractive opportunity for a passionate professional to make an immediate impact in building safety and compliance. The estimated salary for this position is £84,000 per annum, based on a 12-month contract at a day rate of £700.
