Job Overview

Our client, a leading engineering firm HOLT ENGINEERING RECRUITMENT LIMITED, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marine Design Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for various maritime projects.

The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years of experience in naval architecture, with a strong understanding of marine structures, stability, and equipment design. A RINA-accredited Naval Architecture engineering qualification is essential, along with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Provide technical support and liaise with contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Undertake technical investigations and analysis of data to inform design decisions.
  • Carry out design and development work, including change control of technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as those set by RINA.
Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and contractors to deliver high-quality results.
  • Liaise with other Engineering colleagues, Production, and Project Managers to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • 2 to 3 years of experience as a Marine Design Engineer or equivalent role.
  • RINA-accredited Naval Architecture engineering qualification.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and independently.
