The University of the Arts London is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Production Technical Manager to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our productions, including stagecraft and the use of technology.

You will work closely with our artistic team to develop and implement technical solutions that meet the needs of our productions. This will involve maintaining extensive knowledge of technical procedures and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

About the Role
  • Oversee the technical aspects of productions, including lighting, sound, and staging.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions that meet the needs of our productions.
  • Collaborate with our artistic team to ensure seamless integration of technical and artistic elements.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with external suppliers and partners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ETC and Yamaha desks, as well as experience with Dante AV systems and QLab. A good working knowledge of CAD software, such as Vectorworks, is also essential.

Requirements
  • Substantial experience in technical aspects of theatre, including lighting, sound, and staging.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of technical staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised, using own initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

The salary for this position is £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.
