About The Role

Temporary Part-Time Vacancy

This is a part-time, temporary role that requires the successful candidate to work 18.5 hours per week until 25 November 2025 with a salary of £12,271 pro rata per annum.

As a Skills Practitioner at EKC Group, you will provide technical support to staff and students within the Construction and Built Environment department and undertake assessment and quality assurance duties as required by the College and awarding bodies.

This role is available on a temporary basis to cover a current member of staff who is being deployed by the Army Reserve during this period.

Your Responsibilities
  • Liaise with internal and external customers/stakeholders as necessary or required
  • Provide feedback to students that will aid successful progression and achievement
  • Stock control, including ordering and issuing of supplies and machining of materials to prepare for lessons
  • Support the department by preparing and machining materials to prepare for lessons
  • Instill and uphold strong Health & Safety standards in practical environments
About You

We are seeking to appoint an organised and efficient member to our team who has excellent communication skills and can facilitate learners on tasks.

You will have recent industrial experience in a relevant area and ideally experience of education or involvement in training in the workplace.

You will be able to work with young people to achieve and succeed their full potential aligned with the culture and ethos of the Group.
