Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Support Specialist to join our After-Sales Team at CV-Library. As a Service Support Specialist, you will provide technical support to our customers, ensuring they receive first-class service throughout the life of their equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support to customers to diagnose and rectify issues in a timely manner
  • Support the after-sales team with technical queries and issues
  • Responsible for supporting customers' service contracts
  • Undertake work necessary for pre-service visits, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or software tasks
  • Assist with training and growth of service engineers
  • Programme and modify control systems using PLCs, Servo drives, Robots, and other specialized controllers specific to customers' requirements
  • Troubleshoot and adjust mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls equipment
  • Fault-find and perform operational assessments of mechanisms, both in isolation and in complex performance

Requirements

  • Relevant vocational training or completion of an Apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical discipline
  • Qualifications in Engineering and/or 5 years' experience in an electrical or mechanical environment
  • Proven Electrical, Pneumatic, or mechanical experience within the Automation industry/industrial environment
  • 4+ years' experience in programming programmable PLCs and human-machine interfaces using software (Siemens, ABB, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Festo, Codeys)
  • Knowledge of setting up Servos, VFDs, Remote I/O, Earth net, and Profibus networks
  • Knowledge of 6 Axis robot systems is preferred
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving ability
  • Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostics, test, and repair of electronic/electrical and mechanical equipment
