We are seeking a skilled Project Manager with experience in Heritage Projects to deliver projects in the Midlands and wider UK on a part-time basis.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in construction project management, knowledge of heritage conservation principles, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple heritage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and quality delivery.
  • Develop and manage project execution plans, project programmes/schedules, and risk registers using Microsoft Project.
  • Ensure all projects comply with heritage conservation laws and guidelines, liaising with local and national preservation bodies as needed.
  • Establish and maintain strong project governance, including producing project documentation such as progress reports, site inspection reports, meeting agendas and minutes, and risk registers.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction project management, ideally within the heritage sector or with heritage experience.
  • Strong understanding of heritage conservation principles, including relevant legislation and regulatory bodies.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects involving heritage sites, including budget management, risk assessment, and compliance with planning regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills (both written and verbal), with experience in managing a variety of stakeholders (clients, consultants, contractors, conservation officers, etc).
Additional Responsibilities

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY: To take responsibility for your own health, safety and welfare, ensuring compliance with Chana Project Limited safe systems of work.

  • DATA PROTECTION: To undertake to familiarise yourself with the data protection procedures set down by the Company following General Data Protection Regulations.
