Job Title: Behavioural Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join our team at a large secondary academy in Haringey. As a Behavioural Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and behavioural needs.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with teachers and the school's SEN co-ordinator to provide individualized support to pupils. You will help pupils to focus in lessons, complete tasks, and manage their emotions and behaviour. You will work primarily with KS3 pupils (11 to 14 year olds) and will be provided with training to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role.

Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting teenagers in youth settings, community groups, or within their own personal life
  • Proactive, committed, and professional with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Ability to work effectively with pupils, teachers, and other staff members
