Job Title: Hotel Chef de Partie

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at a prestigious hotel in the Lake District. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the sous chef in the smooth running of the kitchen, preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards, and ensuring a safe and clean working environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the sous chef with menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen operations
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet the hotel's high standards of quality and quantity
  • Assist with team management, training, and development
  • Ensure effective stock management, purchasing, and storage
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety policies and procedures
  • Report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and protective clothing, and adhere to grooming standards

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of ingredients and ability to use them creatively
  • Belief in being a team player
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment
