About the Job:

We are looking for a highly skilled Budgeting Expert to join our Finance team at West Dunbartonshire Council. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in budget preparation, financial analysis, and management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Budget preparation and monitoring for Council services in consultation with service managers and finance business partners.
• Providing financial guidance and advice to service managers to ensure efficient use of financial resources.
• Working on finance projects related to the post grading.
• Preparing statutory financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Completing external returns.
• Performing other tasks related to the post grading as needed.
