Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to join our team at Inverse Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the overall operation and management of our lithium-ion battery recycling demonstration plant. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safe and efficient production, maintaining product quality standards, effective resource management, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Operational Management
  • Oversee daily operations of the chemical plant, including production schedules, maintenance activities, and inventory management.
  • Ensure that production processes are running smoothly and efficiently to meet production goals and customer demands.
Safety and Compliance
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
Quality Control
  • Monitor product quality through regular inspections and testing, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Implement improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and motivate a team of production personnel, engineers, and technicians.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the plant.
Budget and Resource Management
  • Develop and manage budgets for operational expenses, capital projects, and maintenance.
  • Optimize resource utilization to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
  • Identify operational issues and implement effective solutions to resolve them promptly.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve production processes.
Communication and Coordination
  • Communicate regularly with senior management, providing updates on plant performance, issues, and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Full UK working rights.
  • Tertiary qualifications in chemical engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in chemical manufacturing or related industries, with at least 5-7 years in a managerial role.
  • Preferably experienced in alkali-based chemistry or similar chemical processes, and experienced working with key battery metals.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £80,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
