About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at the Cambian Group, a leading provider of care and education for children and young people.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of our young people, who have a range of behavioural and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager as required
  • Ensure that our team of Residential Care Workers are up-to-date with mandatory learning and support their individual development
  • Communicate with the on-site team and raise awareness of individual care plans and their implementation
  • Maintain accurate written records to enable regular monitoring and evaluation
  • Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
  • Provide support and care to our young people
  • Encourage our young people in their preparation to re-enter education or engage in their current schooling
  • Travel with our young people to and from school or college
  • Prepare food at meal times and maintain the home environment
  • Organise and facilitate social activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • The desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • 12 months experience working in a Residential setting (desirable but not essential)
