The ideal candidate will have experience in safety and environment within the construction industry, with a strong academic background and a NEBOSH certificate. They will be responsible for maintaining the organisation's Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality management system, providing Method Statements and Risk Assessments, and engaging with staff and managers to promote a positive HSEQ culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the organisation's Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality management system.
- Providing Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all jobs.
- Providing professional support and advice to the Senior Management Team and staff on Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality matters.
- Assisting staff and sub-contractors in respect of compliance with relevant legislation, client standards, and contractual arrangements.
- Engaging with and providing training for staff and managers to maximise improvements in skills and safety performance.
- Responsible for developing, promoting, and monitoring the HSEQ culture.
- Identifying areas of risk and developing measures to reduce and control harm.
- Identifying initiatives to improve performance and assisting in addressing areas of poor performance.
- Producing HSEQ performance reports as required.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Experience in safety and environment within the construction industry.
- Good academic qualifications, minimum of NEBOSH certificate (General and/or Construction Certificate).
- Hold a full, clean driving licence.
