Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fabrication Manager to join our team. As a key member of the production team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production process.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a steel fabrication or related manufacturing environment. They will possess strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, as well as a solid understanding of steel fabrication processes, machinery, and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire, guide, and supervise a team of fabricators and welders, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
  • Maintain and enforce quality standards throughout the production process to meet our customers' exacting requirements.
  • Oversee daily operations, including workflow planning, resource allocation, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a steel fabrication or related manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Solid understanding of steel fabrication processes, machinery, and tools.
  • TIG & MIG qualifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding codes to ensure accurate execution of welds.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions swiftly.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

The salary for this position is approximately £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
