About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at Qualiteach Ltd. The successful candidate will work with secondary aged students with mental health difficulties, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-1 support to students with mental health difficulties in a hospital school setting
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist students with their academic and personal needs, including homework support and life skills development
  • Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEMH/Challenging Behaviours
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support and guidance to students
