About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Parcel Sorting and Distribution Specialist to join our team in Washington. As a Parcel Sorting and Distribution Specialist, you will be responsible for sorting and organizing incoming parcels accurately and efficiently based on designated routes and destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and organize parcels accurately and efficiently
- Operate conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment to facilitate the sorting process
- Ensure proper labelling and categorization of parcels to prevent errors in delivery
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet deadlines
- Identify damaged parcels and follow company protocols for proper handling and documentation
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, optimizing space utilization
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards
Requirements:
- Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime as needed
- Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location
