About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Podiatrist to join our East Cheshire NHS Trust Community Podiatry Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality podiatry services to patients in a variety of settings, including care homes across East Cheshire.

Main Duties
  1. Act as a Clinical Specialist in the Podiatry Service, providing expert advice and guidance to junior colleagues.
  2. Undertake work in a minimum of one specialist area, including wound care, nail surgery, or biomechanics.
  3. Support the development of Podiatrists, Podiatry Assistants, and Podiatry students as a Clinical Educator.
  4. Assist Team Managers and Advanced Clinical Specialists in the day-to-day running of clinics and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

Requirements
  • HCPC registration
  • Relevant professional degree/diploma
  • Relevant postgraduate experience in a specialist area
  • Ability to lead junior colleagues
  • Advanced communication and listening skills
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions at all levels

  • Ability to prioritize workload and achieve a balance between clinical and other aspects of the role
