About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated MSK Clinician to join our Specialist Musculoskeletal team as a Clinical Specialist Development Post. This role will support the development of a Band 8 Clinical Specialist role, working through a competency framework.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Specialist Development Post, you will work alongside an experienced team of Specialists, Clinical Leads, and MSK Consultant Practitioners to develop comprehensive, expert assessment, triage, and management of patients with MSK hand and elbow conditions.

You will be responsible for developing from a Band 7 to a Band 8a Musculoskeletal Clinical Specialist Hand and Elbow Specialist, under supervision and working towards becoming an autonomous practitioner.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc Hons Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Health Professions Council Registration
  • Evidence of Postgraduate study to M level
  • Evidence of postgraduate courses/CPD
  • Significant relevant postgraduate MSK experience with some experience at senior level
  • Evidence of continuing professional development portfolio
  • Previous NHS Experience
  • Experience of audit and service development
  • Experience of working closely with other health professionals
