Solar PV Project Engineer

Ecogen Energy is a leading provider of commercial solar solutions, dedicated to accelerating the UK's transition to clean energy. We're seeking a skilled Solar PV Project Engineer to join our Bristol office, working closely with our project planner, project manager, and on-site project leads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct solar PV surveys to assess electrical infrastructure, points of connection, and roof condition, developing detailed scopes of work and materials lists.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop and refine project designs and technical specifications.
  • Resource planning, estimating, and procuring necessary materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to project managers and project leads, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Communicate and coordinate with project planner and project leads to ensure alignment and efficient project execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to solar PV systems during project implementation.
  • Document and track technical issues and resolutions in the project management system.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of technical documentation, project plans, and support guides.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support, project management, or a related role within the solar PV industry.
  • Proficient in using project management and diagnostic tools and software applications related to solar PV systems.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel Spreadsheets.
  • A genuine interest in the environment and/or renewable energy.
