Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Housing Disrepair Law Specialist to join our team at Venn Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of housing disrepair matters, including tenant claims for repairs, compensation, and rent rebates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of housing disrepair matters, including tenant claims for repairs, compensation, and rent rebates.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including letters before action, claim forms, and witness statements.
  • Negotiate settlements with landlords and housing associations, and conduct investigations, gathering evidence such as expert reports.
  • Represent clients in court hearings and tribunal proceedings, ensuring compliance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Disrepair Claims.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality legal services.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in housing disrepair law and litigation.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a large caseload while meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
