**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced IT Leader to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Manager, IT Operations.

This role will be based in the UK and will involve leading a multi-lingual and multi-cultural end-user support function, with a focus on delivering high-quality services to our colleagues.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of achieving year-over-year efficiency gains, experience working in a regulated environment, and a solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Computers Systems Validation (CSV).

In this role, you will lead a team of IT professionals, develop and implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

You will also work closely with global teams to drive innovation and improve business processes.

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of IT professionals to deliver high-quality services to colleagues.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, including GMP and CSV.
  • Work closely with global teams to drive innovation and improve business processes.
  • Provide technical support to site colleagues, addressing hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects related to system upgrades, network improvements, and software implementations.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including computers, servers, and production instruments.
  • Resolve technical issues related to software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity.
  • Embody the concept of Technology, Security, and Quality.
  • Point of contact for local IT service incidents/requests and mentor site IT teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience leading a multi-lingual and multi-cultural end-user support function.
  • Strong track record of achieving year-over-year efficiency gains.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, with a solid understanding of GMP and CSV.
  • Broad knowledge of application software, desktop support, and IT security.
  • Capable of working in a team structure, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
