As a key member of our Pensions Actuarial team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality actuarial pensions advice to our clients. Your expertise will focus on defined benefit pension schemes in the private sector.

  • Provide strategic journey planning, risk management, and endgame options.
  • Offer strategic funding advice to sponsors and advice on compliance with the DB funding code.
  • Conduct pension due diligence on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Develop and implement member education and communication strategies.
  • Advise on benefit change, benefit design, and implementation.
  • Assist with good governance and compliance.
  • Provide pensions accounting advice.
Key Responsibilities

We're looking for a highly analytical and organized individual with a strong understanding of actuarial techniques and pension regulations. You will work closely with senior team members to deliver high-quality advice to our clients.

  • Analyse client data and information using actuarial techniques and central models.
  • Produce technical actuarial work in line with actuarial standards and KPMG quality procedures.
  • Run checks to assess the reasonableness of actuarial assumptions and accounting results.
  • Support the team in day-to-day running of cases and general administration.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in pensions actuarial at a Big 4 firm or employee benefit consultancy.
  • Basic knowledge of defined benefit pension scheme valuations, roll forward methodologies, and actuarial techniques.
  • Understanding of the wider UK pensions landscape.
  • Strong IT skills with proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
