About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Health and Safety Professional to join our team at NOVUS Recruitment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures.

You will work closely with the H&S Manager to drive improvements across the site health and safety plan, ensuring all activities are aligned with the Group policy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting the H&S Manager in the development of H&S policies and effective campaigns.
  • Driving improvements across the site health and safety plan.
  • Ensuring all activities are aligned with the Group policy.
  • Completing risk assessments, working closely with key stakeholders and conducting site inspections and audits.
  • Identifying the root cause of any health and safety issues.
  • Monitoring all near misses on site working closely with the H&S Manager.
  • Auditing fire safety arrangements.

What You Will Need

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field (e.g. health and safety, occupational health).
  • Proven experience in health and safety, ideally in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary Details

This is a full-time position, paying £45-50k per annum, depending on experience.
