Senior Network and Server Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network and Server Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team at our Head Office in Coleshill. As a Senior Network and Server Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and developing our LAN/WAN environment, monitoring performance, and providing improvements across the network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Management and development of the LAN/WAN environment across the Group
  2. Monitor performance and provide improvements across the network infrastructure
  3. Develop and maintain documentation sets relating to areas covered by the role
  4. Provide 'weekly/monthly' reporting of both SLA and performance of the networking infrastructure
  5. Vulnerability/Patch Management and Reporting of LAN/WAN infrastructure
  6. Work within the team to provide support to other areas of the infrastructure where appropriate
  7. Contribute to On-Call support requirements (average 3 nights per month)
  8. Provide escalation support where required

Requirements:

  1. Fundamental networking architecture LAN/WAN
  2. Understanding of networking technologies – Cisco/Dell/Checkpoint/Azure/AWS
  3. Network Security Design and Implementation
  4. General WinTel within an Active Directory Environment
  5. General Hypervisor networking understandings
  6. General cloud platform networking
  7. Network patching and vulnerability management
  8. Documentation and reporting
