The Recruitment Co is seeking an experienced Estimator to contribute to the success of a well-established company in Barnsley. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's products and services are cost-effective, meet specifications, and adhere to quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting engineering product estimations
* Interpreting and understanding engineering 2D/3D drawings
* Managing technical specifications in quotations
* Maintaining and documenting estimating standards to ensure manufacturing operations meet estimates
* Providing accurate and proactive communication with customers, including reviewing and interpreting customer purchase orders
* Managing administrative tasks, such as reviewing and writing reports, and making decisions about material or service purchases
* Assisting in driving continuous improvement practices within the department to enhance engineering standards and monthly closed job performance
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* HND (or equivalent) in Engineering or qualified by experience
* Minimum 3 years of estimating experience
* Manufacturing engineering experience
* Fabrication type engineering background (desirable)
* Experience with engineering contracts (desirable)
* Familiarity with Factory Master system (desirable)
