We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Environmental Manager to join our team at a leading UK provider of industrial water treatment solutions. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for implementing and driving the operational and functional management of our Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality policies.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing safety and environmental systems, with experience within an engineering environment. You will be responsible for ensuring continual improvement and compliance with ISO standards, fostering a positive safety and environmental culture, and developing and managing our safety and environmental systems in collaboration with management and colleagues.
We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 + bonus + training + private medical insurance + pension + cycle to work scheme. You will also have the opportunity to work for a highly successful and well-established business in the industrial water treatment and process filtrations services.
The role will involve leading safety and environmental management, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental legislation and industry standards, and facilitating audits from certification bodies, customers, and other parties. You will also be responsible for managing industry audits such as Achilles and CHAS, maintaining our IMS Health & Safety register and Environmental legal registers, investigating accidents and near-misses, and conducting internal safety and environmental audits.
We are looking for someone with knowledge of ISO 9001, experience as a safety and environmental manager, and excellent communication and leadership skills. If you are a motivated and experienced professional looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.
