DataCareers is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team on a 3-month contract basis. As a Data Governance Specialist, you will be responsible for advising on data governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing expertise on data protection and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide expertise on data protection and security, including data classification, access control, and data storage
- Review and develop data policy documents to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
- Governance and audit of role-based access to data and systems to support ISO compliance
- Sharepoint administration and management
- MS DevOps boards for project planning and management
- Basic SQL and knowledge of relational database schema
- Effective communication and influencing skills to engage with stakeholders and drive business outcomes
Requirements
- 2-3+ years' experience in a Data Governance Advisor role, preferably in a highly regulated sector
- Strong understanding of data governance policies and procedures, including data protection and security
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage with stakeholders and drive business outcomes
- Local to Sussex and willing to travel to Brighton as required
