SEND Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Birmingham

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Early Years Teaching Assistant to provide long-term supply cover in mainstream Primary Schools in Birmingham. This role is full-time and will start as soon as possible, continuing until July 2025. To be considered, you must have relevant long-term or permanent experience in an early years setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a mainstream Primary School setting
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to provide a tailored learning experience
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, adapting materials to meet individual needs
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, promoting independence and confidence
Requirements:
  • Relevant teaching assistant experience, preferably in an early years setting
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, TA, or Early Years
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (free courses available with Prospero Teaching)
