We are seeking an experienced Area Planning Specialist to join our team at Colas Ltd. In this role, you will assist in developing and implementing localised area programs in line with client service level agreements and internal commercial requirements. Your role will involve supporting the design and implementation of commercial planning strategies, providing planning assistance to management, and overseeing the day-to-day functions of routine and reactive maintenance works.

Main Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include assisting in developing and implementing localised programs of routine and reactive works, planning and delivering services in line with tender strategies, ensuring productivity targets are planned for all aspects of the service. You will be required to assist daily reporting of hot costings, develop and improve working practices, manage all relevant programs, and assist in developing planned maintenance solutions.

Requirements
  • A good understanding of planning, including a firm grasp of highways legislation, such as the Road Traffic Act
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Time management and prioritisation of work for self and team against changing demands of network needs
