Job Summary
A Motor Vehicle Engineer is required to join our team at First Bus Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing vehicle servicing and routine examinations, attending on-road vehicle breakdowns, and carrying out vehicle road testing.

Responsibilities
The Motor Vehicle Engineer will be responsible for:

1. Performing vehicle servicing and routine examinations using handheld data capture devices if applicable.
2. Attending on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
3. Carrying out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair.

Requirements
To be successful as a Motor Vehicle Engineer, you will need:

• A minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent (i.e., City & Guilds Level 1&2) and working experience on either PSV, HGV, van, bus, coach, or car mechanics.
• Ability to multi-skill within a mechanical engineering environment.
• A flexible approach to working hours.
• A PCV licence is desirable, or an ability to obtain PCV licence is essential (we will help you obtain this).
• A basic vehicle electrical understanding is essential.
