Job Title: Specialist MidwifeWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Midwife to join our team at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. As a Specialist Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women and their families, promoting excellent outcomes and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert midwifery care to women and their families, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each woman.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring the safety and well-being of women and their babies.
- Provide education and support to women and their families, promoting healthy behaviors and empowering them to make informed decisions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Postgraduate qualification in midwifery or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a midwife, with a strong track record of providing high-quality care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with women, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and mutual respect.
- Knowledge of current midwifery practices, policies, and procedures, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
