Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Family Law Solicitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of demonstrable experience in family law, with a proven track record of successfully handling complex cases.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage a varied and complex caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and domestic violence cases.
  2. Provide expert legal advice to clients, guiding them through the legal process, and ensuring their interests are represented effectively.
  3. Represent clients in family court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations, demonstrating strong advocacy skills and legal acumen.
  4. Build and maintain strong client relationships by offering personalised legal services, understanding their needs, and providing clear communication throughout the legal process.
  5. Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective client service.
  6. Contribute to the growth of the family law practice through business development initiatives, networking, and fostering relationships within the legal community.
  7. Stay informed about changes in family law, precedents, and legislation, and apply this knowledge to enhance the quality of legal services provided.

Qualifications

  1. Qualified Solicitor: Admitted to the Roll with a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in family law.
  2. Proven Expertise: Demonstrated experience in handling a diverse range of family law cases, showcasing a deep understanding of relevant legal principles and procedures.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  4. Client-Centric Approach: A commitment to providing exceptional client service, understanding client needs, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  5. Team Player: Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
  6. Business Acumen: Ability and interest in contributing to the business development activities of the firm, including client acquisition and retention.
