Job Title: Cover Supervisor

At GSL Education, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team of professionals. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our schools in Doncaster.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise classes and deliver pre-set work left by the teacher, maintaining a constructive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behavior, ensuring students remain on task and continue their learning during the absence of their regular teacher.
  • Assist students with their work, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain classroom resources and records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role or a strong educational background, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage groups of students and enforce discipline, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
