Cardiac Catheterization Nurse Opportunity at Spire Healthcare

Spire Healthcare is seeking a skilled Cardiac Catheterization Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, delivering high-quality care to patients in a busy Cardiac Cath Lab setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To ensure that standards of patient care are consistently maintained at all times in accordance with agreed operational policies and procedures.
2. To undertake clinical procedures that require dexterity and accuracy, including scrubbing for a range of complex interventional cardiology procedures.
3. To support the non-invasive cardiology services within the Outpatient Department, acting as a subject matter expert to other staff.
4. To provide cardiology support to wards and act as a subject matter expert to other staff.
5. To support senior staff, ensuring high standards of effective cardiology care are delivered to all patients within the Cardiac catheterisation lab, wards, and Outpatient Cardiology Department.
6. To prepare the cardiology suite for procedures, ensuring waste is kept to a minimum and all necessary equipment is available and in working order.
7. To assist in running a cardiology list without supervision and supervise/mentor junior staff (subject to experience).

Requirements:

1. Current NMC registration with no restriction on practice.
2. Substantial experience as an RN within a cardiology catheter lab environment scrubbing for routine and complex cardiology procedures.
3. Capable and confident, with the ability to work on own initiative.
4. Excellent organisational skills.
5. Flexible approach to work and working patterns.
