Job Title: Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Eurotunnel Services Limited. As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of our critical real-time operational systems, including the Rail Traffic Management System (RTM), Engineering Management System (EMS), and Tunnel Fire Detection Supervision System (CFT).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage assigned projects within the Real-Time Systems.
  • Liaise with Operations Departments for incident/failure investigations, defining changes/developments, and providing reports to security authorities.
  • Produce system migration plans to ensure compliance with security authorities' requirements and maximum availability and integrity of the system.
  • Support the replacement and major evolutions of the real-time systems as part of the future migration.
  • Manage and analyse outages to ensure systems are operating at agreed performance levels.
  • Assist other Control System Engineers with technical support and provide second-line internal support in diagnostic, testing, and recommissioning situations.
  • Identify necessary system administration activities, including system backup, security management, and configuration control.
  • Participate in the production of migration solutions for the future development of control systems.
  • Carry out technical monitoring by keeping abreast of the evolution of technologies in all aspects of real-time automated industrial systems.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years in the administration and maintenance of control and control systems.
  • Engineering degree (electrical, electronic, computer science and automation) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience administering several operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
  • Experience in administering Windows Servers/PCs, AD, and VMware.
  • Programming experience.
  • Experience in technical support in the maintenance and/or development of critical control systems in the railway environment.
  • Experience of transversal work in 'project' mode.
  • A valid Driving Licence and Passport is essential.
