Job Description

At Academics Ltd, we are committed to providing high-quality educational services to students in High Wycombe. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Academic Support Specialist.

This role involves working closely with students to develop coping strategies, de-escalation techniques, and methods for managing emotions. You will also collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.

To succeed in this position, you must be resilient, patient, and understanding, with excellent communication skills. Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and protocols is essential, as you will be responsible for reporting any concerns that may arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs
  • Develop and implement personalized plans to promote student success
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support
  • Monitor and report on student progress, making adjustments as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or related field
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and protocols
