We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to lead our Northumbrian Water (NWG) Design Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in water and wastewater design, with experience in leading design teams and managing projects from feasibility to detailed design. You will be responsible for ensuring that our designs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design input into tenders and ensure that our designs meet the client's requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality designs.
- Manage project budgets and resources, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, including the CDM Regulations.
- Strong technical background in water and wastewater design, with experience in leading design teams and managing projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation, including the CDM Regulations.
- Relevant degree qualification and professional membership (e.g. CEng, CIWEM).
