About the Role
Pentagon Motor Group is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join their team at their Burton on Trent dealership.
The ideal candidate will have a retail sales background with experience of achieving targets and a genuine passion for people, making them the main focus in everything they do.
The successful applicant will be responsible for taking the time to talk to people and build a genuine rapport in order to identify exactly what their customer needs, turning opportunities into business.
They will also be expected to meet sales volume targets and maximise profit opportunities with each sale, exceed customer satisfaction and promote long term profitability for the Dealership & Group.
The role involves telephone prospecting new and existing customers, effectively promoting and selling additional items such as GAP, paint protection, service plans and warranties, and keeping up to date with current finance options regulations and legislation.

Key Responsibilities
- Take the time to talk to people and build a genuine rapport with customers.
- Meet sales volume targets and maximise profit opportunities with each sale.
- Exceed customer satisfaction and promote long term profitability for the Dealership & Group.
- Telephone prospect new and existing customers.
- Effectively promote and sell additional items such as GAP, paint protection, service plans and warranties.
- Keep up to date with current finance options regulations and legislation.
Requirements
- Experience working in a target-driven retail sales background.
- Exceptional Customer Service skills.
- Strong and effective communication skills.
- Brilliant rapport building skills.
- Motivation and drive.
- The ability to deliver a first class Customer buying experience and maximise every profit opportunity.
- An enthusiasm and passion for exceeding targets.
- Knowledge of IT Systems including Microsoft Office.
- A full, UK driving licence.
Previous motor industry sales experience is a distinct advantage but not essential as a full training and development programme will be provided from Day 1.
The successful applicant must agree to a Basic Disclosure under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) procedures. Employment will be offered to the successful applicant subject to a satisfactory Disclosure report.
