Commodities Risk Team - Python Developer

McGregor Boyall is seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our client's Commodities Risk team in London. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the proprietary trading platform, working closely with traders and the wider market risk function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data models and processing algorithms to support large volumes of results data
  • Collaborate with the development team to build out the front-office risk system
  • Develop and maintain Python code to support the trading platform
  • Work closely with traders and the market risk function to ensure accurate and timely risk calculations

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience working with Python, with a strong focus on data modeling and processing
  • Experience working in a full-stack capacity, ideally using React
  • Prior experience working in the front office of a major financial institution is essential
  • Excellent Python programming skills, with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
