Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate Science graduate to join our client's thriving school in Lambeth. As a Science Graduate, you will provide 1:1 and small group support to students in Science, working closely with pupils of varying abilities to help them excel.

You will assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom management, and the creation of engaging learning materials. Additionally, you will offer personalized academic support to students who require extra help, helping them grasp challenging Science concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in Science
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management
  • Offer personalized academic support to students who require extra help
  • Participate in intervention programmes designed to boost students' academic performance and confidence
  • Support students in their practical Science experiments, ensuring they understand key concepts and safety measures
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Science department and other teaching staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Opportunity to get involved in extracurricular activities and projects within the Science department

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum 2:1 bachelor's degree in Science from a top UK university
  • Strong A-Level results in Science-related subjects
  • Passion for education and a desire to work with young people
