Job Title: Adult Community Specialist Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Adult Community Specialist Psychiatrist to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Doctor in Adult Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to adults in the community, with no on-call commitment.

The successful candidate will be based at Warneford Hospital and will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care. You will be responsible for providing psychiatric expertise, contributing to assessments, treatment planning, and reviews, as well as liaising with other services as needed.

We offer a supportive and innovative work environment, with opportunities for clinical leadership, medical education, and supervision. You will have the chance to develop services across the patch and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing psychiatric expertise to the multidisciplinary team
  • Contributing to assessments, treatment planning, and reviews
  • Liaising with other services, such as primary care
  • Supporting quality improvement and service developments

Person Specification:
  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
  • At least four years' full-time postgraduate training in psychiatry
  • Experience in teaching medical undergraduates
  • Good IT skills, including typing
