Automotive Electrician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Electrician to join our team at Arnold Clark. As an Automotive Electrician, you will be responsible for accurately diagnosing and repairing complex electrical faults in a wide range of vehicles.

You will be required to inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components and diagnose issues accurately using computer-based diagnostic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components and diagnose issues accurately using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
  • Train other members of the team in various diagnostic and repair methods.
  • Assist in workshop planning and the pre-diagnosis of vehicle faults, including speculative ordering of parts, to ensure a first-time fix.
  • Road-test vehicles to check repairs.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3.
  • Solid, proven work experience with one of the leading vehicle manufacturers, achieving Diagnostic/Master level.
  • A full UK driving licence.

The estimated salary for this role is £42,000-£52,000 per annum, depending on experience.
