Job Overview

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust provides a commissioned mental health service to men in custody at HMP Forest Bank. The team delivers mental health care, assessment, treatment, and support for a wide range of mental health conditions within the stepped care model.

Main Duties

The post holder will manage individuals with secondary mental health service needs while in prison custody. This includes assisting in the delivery and development of effective, needs-based, modern mental health services within the prison.

The post holder should be an expert in all areas of service delivery, ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times. They will be responsible and accountable for the effective management of their own caseload and utilize nursing skills and resources to provide high-quality service to all service users.

The role requires the post holder to contribute to maintaining the CPA process throughout the legal and custodial process.
